Privacy Notice

Version 2026-10

This portal is run by the trust to maintain a private community directory, family records, and the annual education awards. This notice explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

  • Mobile number (used for OTP sign-in).
  • Names, gender, relationship within the family, native village, city and address.
  • Date of birth — stored encrypted and never shown in the directory.
  • Optional: blood group, member photo, occupation or business details, contact visibility choices.
  • For education awards: results and marksheet uploads.

Why we use it

  • To verify that members belong to the community and build family records.
  • To show a private directory to other verified members, according to your visibility settings.
  • To review results and decide the annual education awards.

Who can see it

  • Only signed-in, verified members can view the directory, and only the fields you allow.
  • Trust-appointed reviewers and administrators see what they need to approve records. Every staff action is recorded in an audit log.
  • Marksheets and photos are kept in private storage and opened only through short-lived secure links.
  • Service providers who help run the portal (sign-in SMS, hosting, storage) process data only on our instructions. We never sell data.

Children

  • Details of members under 18 are added by a parent or guardian, who gives consent on their behalf.
  • Children's data is not used for advertising or tracking.

How long we keep it

  • We keep records while the family is part of the community directory. Marksheets are kept only as long as needed for the award cycle and its records.
  • Removed records are hidden immediately and are not shown anywhere in the portal.

Your rights

  • See and correct your family's details from the portal, or ask the trust to do it.
  • Withdraw consent or ask for your data to be removed.
  • Raise a complaint with the trust's grievance contact below, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
